South American Church Tutorial
This tutorial is quite easy. The image was made with PSP 8, but can be done in earlier versions. All you will need is the
church file and the church tile pattern, below, which you can right-click on and download.

1. Open the churchtile.jpg image and leave open on your workspace. Open the church file you downloaded, and click on the Addition Layer. Then go to:
Selections - Load/Save Selections - Load Selection from Alpha Channel
Click on the Addition selection and then on Load
Flood-fill with the churchtile pattern.
2. Addition Roof - Flood-fill with #571717.
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V 3, H 0, Opacity 61, Blur 3, Colour black
3. Window - Flood-fill with #571717. Use your Magic Wand

to click anywhere outside the window. Then go to:
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V & H 10, Opacity 50, Blur 3, Colour black
Selections - Invert
Click on the Inside layer and flood-fill with gray or any colour you wish.
4. Side Door - Flood-fill with #571717.
Selections - Invert
Apply same Drop Shadow we just used.
5. Flower Bed Backs - Flood-fill with a nice colour. (I used #7898A7.)
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Brightness/Contrast
Brightness minus 30, Contrast 0.
6. Facade - Flood-fill with the churchtile pattern.
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V 0, H 5, Opacity 50, Blur 10, Colour black.
7. Columns - Flood-fill with your colour (#7898A7). Add the following Drop Shadow
V 0, H 1, Opacity 68, Blur 2, Colour black
Repeat the Drop Shadow, Changing the H to minus 1.
8. Column Supports - Flood-fill with your colour, and apply the same two Drop Shadows.
9. Door - Flood-fill with #571717.
Selections - Invert
Drop Shadow - V & H 10, Opacity 50, Blur 3, Colour black.
10. Door Line - Flood-fill with black.
11. Entry - Flood-fill with your colour.
12. Arch Decoration - Flood-fill with your colour and add the following Drop Shadow:
V 1, H 0, Opacity 68, Blur 2, Colour black.
13.Top Decoration - Flood-fill with your colour and add the same Drop Shadow.
14. Star - Flood-fill with your colour. If you want to give it a weathered effect, you can lower the opacity of the layer by using the slider in the Layer Pallette.
15. Roof - Flood-fill with #571717. Add the following Drop Shadow:
V 3, H 0, Opacity 61, Blur 3, Colour black
16. Bell - Flood-fill with black.
17. Bell Tower - Flood-fill with the churchtile pattern. Also add this Drop Shadow:
V 0, H 5, Opacity 50, Blur 10, Colour black.
18. Bell Tower Ledge - Flood-fill with #571717. Add the following Drop Shadow:
V 2, H 0, Opacity 61, Blur 3, Colour black.
19. Crosses - Flood-fill with #571717.
20. Flower Beds - Flood-fill with your colour and go to
Effects - Texture Effects - Texture
Use the stucco.bmp preset.
21. Top Step - Flood-fill with your colour.
Efffects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel
Metallic preset - change the Ambience to minus 15.
22. Middle Step and Bottom Step - Flood-fill and add the same Inner Bevel to both layers.
23. Handles - Flood-fill with white and go to
Effects - Texture Effects - Sculpture - Copper preset.
