What the Heck is That?
Antique Cornsheller Tutorial

LOL--I saw this in a catalogue and laughed my head off. It looks more like some kind of evil handcuff than a kitchen tool! I guess the large ring is for taking out the outer husk and the inner one for what's left. I assume you'd have to make creamed corn.

This tutorial is really easy and fast.

Anyway, the tutorial was made with PSP 7, and you'll just need the four selections.

The terms of use are here

NOTE: Each step which needs a new layer will use the format with the name of the new layer, and then the selection for that layer. So Whatever layer - whatever.sel, means make a new layer Whatever, and then get the whatever.sel file by going to Selections - Load from disk.
If you aren't familiar with using the Colour Pallette for patterns, there is a short explanation here

1. Open a new image, 223 x 381 pixels. Name it Lower Ring, get 01lowerring.sel, and flood-fill with #787167. Then go to

Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Round preset.

2. Upper Ring layer - 02upperring.sel. Flood-fill with the same colour and apply the same Inner Bevel.

3. Teeth layer - 03teeth.sel. Flood-fill and apply the same Inner Bevel.

4. Links layer - 04links.sel. Flood-fill and apply the Inner Bevel again, changing the Smoothness to 67.

Congratulations! You're all done and have this "unique" implement for your Victorian kitchen.
