Antique Egg Beater Tutorial
This tutorial was written with PSP 7. All you will need is the
eggbeater.zip file. This tutorial is quite easy--most of the time you just Flood-fill!
The terms of use are
here
NOTE: Each step which needs a new layer will use the format with the name of the new layer, and then the selection for that layer. So Whatever layer - whatever.sel, means make a new layer Whatever, and then get the whatever.sel file by going to Selections - Load from disk.
If you aren't familiar with using the Colour Pallette for patterns, there is a short explanation here
1. Open a new image, 170 x 390. Call this layer
Sides, and get 01sides.sel. Flood-fill with black.
2. Handle layer - 02handle.sel. Flood-fill with black.
3. Metal layer - 03metal.sel. Flood-fill with black.
4. Inner Circles layer - 04innercircles.sel. Floof-fill with black and then go to
Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Round preset.
5. Handles 1 layer - 05handles1.sel. Flood-fill with the black and apply the same Inner Bevel.
6. Rod layer - 06rod.sel. Flood-fill and apply the Inner Bevel again.
7. Circle layer - 07circle.sel. Flood-fill with black.
8. Grooves layer - 08grooves.sel. Flood-fill with medium gray (#808080).
9. Rod 2 layer - 09rod2.sel. Flood-fill with black and apply the same Inner Bevel, Round preset, as before.
10. Curves layer - 10curves.sel. Flood-fill with black.
11. Lower Circle layer - 11lowercircle.sel. Flood-fill with the black.
12. Beater layer - 12beater.sel. Flood-fill with black.
Congratulations! You've made an egg beater, and I hope you are pleased with it.
