Wall Pot Rack

This tutorial was written with PSP 7. All you will need is the potrack.zip file.

The terms of use are here

NOTE: Each step which needs a new layer will use the format with the name of the new layer, and then the selection for that layer. So Whatever layer - whatever.sel, means make a new layer Whatever, and then get the whatever.sel file by going to Selections - Load from disk.
If you aren't familiar with using the Colour Pallette for patterns or gradients, there is a short explanation here

1. Open a new image, 400 x 300 pixels. Name this layer Back Band.

Set your foreground colour to Black and you background colour to dark gray, #808080. Set the Style to Gradient, and use Foreground-Background, Linear Gradient, at 270o, Repeats 0.

Get 01backband.sel and Flood-fill with the gradient.

2. Left Strip layer - 02leftstrip.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient, changing the Angle to 320. Then go to Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel and use the Round preset, changing the Width to 1, and the Intensity to 18. Go to Layers - Duplicate.

3. Rename the duplicated layer Right Strip. Then go to Image - Mirror.

3. Outline layer - 03outline.sel. Flood-fill with the same Angle, and apply the Inner Bevel, using the same settings as for the Left Strip.

4. Front Band layer - 04frontband.sel. Flood-fill, changing the Angle to 90. Then apply the Inner Bevel, using the Frame preset, changing the Width to 2, and the Color to #C0C0C0.

5. Hooks layer - 05hooks.sel. Flood-fill with black.

6. Hanger layer - 06hanger.sel. Flood-fill with black and make an Inner Bevel with the preset Round.

All done! Now you can hang your pots. Congratulations. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
