NOTE: Each step which needs a new layer will use the format with the name of the new layer, and then the selection for that layer. So Whatever layer - whatever.sel, means make a new layer Whatever, and then get the whatever.sel file by going to Selections - Load from disk.If you aren't familiar with using the Colour Pallette for patterns, there is a short explanation here
1. Open a new file, 350 x 350 pixels. Get the frame.sel. Flood-fill with white and go to
2. Purse layer - purse.sel. Flood-Fill with #202020 (dark gray). Keep selected.
3. Go to
4. Make a new layer, Flowers. Open the flower.tub in PSP (you don't have to install it), and then reduce it in size by going to
Place the flowers at the sides so they extend past the purse. Then get the purse.sel again and invert the selection, (Selections - Invert) and hit DELETE.
5. Needlepoint Effect. Deselect (CTRL-D). Then go to
6. Clasp layer - clasp.sel. Flood-fill with white and use the same SBP flaky preset.
7. Clasp Flower layer. Place another copy of the flower in the centre of the clasp. Lower the opacity of the layer a bit by using the slider in the Layer Pallette (I lowered it to 72%).
If there are little bits of the image extending past the clasp, get clasp.sel, Invert (Selections - Invert) and hit DELETE.
8. Strap layer. Make this layer, and then drag it below the Frame layer in the Layer Pallette. With your foreground colour set to white, click on the Draw Tool
and use these settings:
and draw some curves for the strap. Then apply the Blade Pro flaky preset again.
You're all done! I hope you like your handbag.
