Pudding Mold Tutorial
This tutorial was written with PSP 7. All you will need is the
pudding mold file.
The terms of use are
here
NOTE: Each step which needs a new layer will use the format with the name of the new layer, and then the selection for that layer. So Whatever layer - whatever.sel, means make a new layer Whatever, and then get the whatever.sel file by going to Selections - Load from disk.
If you aren't familiar with using the Colour Pallette for patterns, there is a short explanation here
1. Open a new image, 325 x 330 pixels. This is the
Left Clamp layer. Get 01leftclamp.sel and flood-fill with the Metallic 2 gradient in the Colour Pallette--Style Linear, Angle 315, Repeats 0. Go to
Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Round preset.
2. Right Clamp layer - 02rightclamp.sel. Flood-fill and apply the same Inner Bevel.
3. Mold layer - 03mould.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient.
4. Handle layer - 04handle.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient and go to
Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Frame preset.
5. Lid layer - 05lid.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient.
6. Under Lid layer - 06underlid.sel. Flood-fill with #8D8D8D.
7. Bottom layer - 07bottom.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient.
8. Bottom Lines layer - 08bottomlines.sel. Go to
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V & H 1, Opacity 70, Blur 3, Colour #808080 (medium gray)
Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout
V & H 1, Opacity 70, Blur 2, Shadow Color white, Fill interior unchecked.
9. Center layer - 09center.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient go to
Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel - Frame
Change Depth to 1.
10. Mold Lines layer - 10mouldlines.sel. Follow the same steps as in Step 8.
11. Rim layer - 11rim.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient.
12. Edge layer - 12edge.sel. Flood-fill with the gradient.
Congratulations--you have finished the pudding mould!
LOL--if I ever figure out a way to make the plum impression on the bottom, we can make a plum pudding mould, even though there are no plums in plum pudding!
