Tutorial

All you need to do this tutorial is PSP and the tilttable.zip file. This tutorial was written with PSP 7, but should work in earlier versions.
The terms of use are here

If you aren't familiar with using the Colour Pallette for patterns, there is a short explanation here

There is a short tutorial for the Materials Pallette in PSP 8 here.

Table Top

1. Open a new image, 400 x 370 pixels. It's a good idea to save this image now, as tabletop.psp.

Go to Selections - Load from Disk and get 01tabletop.sel. Flood-fill with the wood pattern you downloaded in the *.zip file.

Go to Selections - Modify - Contract 5 pixels
Selections - Invert
Use the Magic Wand to select the outer ring,
go to Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel, Frame preset.

2. Make another layer - Bevel 2. Get the 01tabletop.sel again, go to

Selections - Modify - Contract 5 pixels
flood-fill with your wood pattern.
Selections - Modify - Contract 5 pixels again, hit Delete
Selections - Invert.
Use the Magic Wand to select the outer rim and go to
Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel and use the Frame preset again.

3. Make another layer - Bevel 3. Get the 01tabletop.sel again, and this time Contract 10 pixels. Flood-fill and then contract 5 more pixels and hit Delete. Then Invert the selection, select the outer rim with the Magic Wand again, and apply the Frame preset.

4. Make another layer - Line. Get 01tabletop.sel again, contract 20 pixels, flood-fill with Black, contract 1 pixel, and hit Delete.

Right-click on a layer in the Layer Pallette and Merge - Merge Visible. The table is a bit too large, so go to Image - Resize - 90%, with Resize all Layers and Maintain Aspect Ratio checked.

The Pedestal and Legs

5. Open a new image, 400 x 650 pixels. Name this layer Left Leg and get 02leftleg.sel. Flood-fill and then go to

Effects - 3D Effects - Inner Bevel and use the Round preset, changing the Width to 5
Go to Colors - Adjust - Brightness/Contrast and set Brightness minus 40, Contrast 0
Deselect (CTRL-D).

6. Go to Layers - Duplicate and then to Image - Mirror. You may need to use the Mover Tool , after you make the next layer, to adjust the placement of the leg.

7. Lower Pedestal layer. Get 03lowerpedestal.sel, flood-fill and then go to

Selections - Float
Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout
V & H 0, Opacity 100, Blur 18

8. Upper Pedestal layer - 04upperpedestal.sel. Flood-fill, go to Selections - Float and apply the same Cutout.

9. Front Leg layer - 05frontleg.sel. Flood-fill, to Selections - float and apply the cutout one more time.

10. Now go back to your Table Top image, and copy it (CTRL-C). Go back to your Tilt Table image, make a new layer, Table Top, and paste it in place (CTRL-E).

You're all done--Congratulations! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
