Victorian Folly PSP Tutorial
This tutorial was made with PSP 8. It can't be done in PSP 7 because there are too many alpha selections. However, it can be done in later versions.All that you will need is the Victorian alpha image.

How to Get The Alpha Selections
Selections - Load/Save Selections - Load Selection from Alpha Channel
Click on the selection you want and then on Load
1. Foundation layer - Flood-fill with #C0C0C0.
2. Inside layer - Flood-fill with yellow--you can change this later.
3. Side Dormer - Flood-fill with #32868B. Naturally, you can use any colours you use.
4. Facade layer - Flood-fill with white.
5. Top Sides - Flood-fill with #BDD3E1, or the colour of your choice.
6. Chimneys - Flood-fill with #888176.

7. Fancy Trim 1 - Flood-fill with the colour of your choice. (I used white.)
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V & H 1, Opacity 41, Blur 1, Colour black.

8. Back Tower - Flood-fill with #32868B, or the colour of your choice.
Selections - Invert (CTRL-SHIFT-I)
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V 0, H 10, Opacity 20, Blur 15, Colour black.
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V 0, H 10, Opacity 20, Blur 15, Colour black.
9. Main Roof - Flood-fill with #32868B, or your colour choice.
Deselect (CTRL-D)
Use the Magic Wand
to click on an empty part of your image
Selections - Invert (CTRL-SHIFT-I)
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V 10, H 0, Opacity 20, Blur 5, Colour black.

10. Rt. Turret - Flood-fill with the same colour.
Selections - Invert (CTRL-SHIFT-I)
Repeat the Drop Shadow used in Step 6
Repeat the Drop Shadow, changing the H to minus 10
Lower the transparency of the Layer, by using the slider, to around 55.
Repeat the Drop Shadow used in Step 6
Repeat the Drop Shadow, changing the H to minus 10
Lower the transparency of the Layer, by using the slider, to around 55.
11. Right Dormer - Flood-fill with white or the colour you used for the Facade.
12. Centre Extension - Flood-fill with #BDD3E1 or another colour.
Deselect (CTRL-D)
Using the Magic Wand
click on an empty part of the image. We're doing this so that we won't get any shadows where the windows are.
Selction - Invert (CTRL-SHIFT-I)
V 0, H 5, Opacity 20, Blur 22, Colour black.

13. Steps. Open the stairs.psp image that was downloaded. Copy (CTRL-C)the image. Then click on your image and paste (CTRL-E) into place.
14. Left Extension - Flood-fill with white or the colour of your Facade.
15. Foundation 1. Flood-fill with #C0C0C0.
16. Close all the layers, including the empty layers, except the Left Extension and Foundation 1 layers. Right Click on one of these two layers and Merge - Merge Visible. Name this merged layer Left Extension.
Deselect (CTRL-D) if necessary.
Using the Magic Wand,
click on any empty space in the image and then Invert the selection (CTRL-SHIFT-I).
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V 0, H 5, Opacity 30, Blur 10, Colour black
Repeat the Drop Shadow, changing H to minus 5.
V 0, H 5, Opacity 30, Blur 10, Colour black
Repeat the Drop Shadow, changing H to minus 5.
Now you can re-open all the layers you closed.
17. Fancy Trim 2 - Flood-fill with white.
Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V & H 1, Opacity 41, Blur 1, Colour black.

18. Highest Roof - Flood-fill with your Roof colour. Invert the selection and add the following Drop Shadow:
V 0, H 10, Opacity 12, Blur 15, Colour black
Repeat, changing the H to minus 10.

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow
V 10, H 0, Opacity 12, Blur 5, Colour Black.
Repeat, changing the H to minus 10.

19. Windows- Flood-fill with a trim colour you like. Use the Zoom Tool
to increase the size of the image temporarily, so you can see better. Then click on the Magic Wand 
and, holding down the SHIFT key, click in each window pane, so they're all selected, or you could just do a few at a time.

20. Side Porch - Flood-fill with white.

21. Porch Roof - Flood-fill with your Roof colour.

22. Vee Roofs - Flood-fill with your trim colour.

23. Rt Turret Markings - Flood-fill with #191211.
24. Rt Turret Top - Flood-fill with your Roof colour.
Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Brightness/Contrast
Brightness minus 40, Contrast 0.
Brightness minus 40, Contrast 0.
25. Top Finial - Flood-fill with any colour.
Effects - Texture Effects - Sculpture
Preset - Copper
Preset - Copper
26. Lines - Flood-fill with black and then lower the opacity of the layer, by using the slider in the Layer Pallette, to around 30.
23. Horizontal Trim - Flood-fill with the Roof colour.
24. Railings Rods - Flood-fill with #808080 or black.
